R&D in bioplastics with a Spanish seal

The section on "Green for your health" from La Razon paper (Spain), dedicates a whole article on the production of biopolymers in Europe.

"In 2016 the production of biopolymers in Europe will double. Our country will not be the leader in production, but it has an excellent position in research projects. Packaging and other products made with garlic, almond shell, wheat straw, paper or waste recycling industries juices are just some of the initiatives.

One of them, the most recent, is Innobite, which just started just three weeks ago. The objective of this project, led by Tecnalia, is to transform agricultural waste products for high performance green building. This inorganic fraction will recover wheat straw and seeks to obtain cellulose nanofibers from recycled paper."
